Video of Greek farmer ploughing through refugee tents goes viral (video)
One refugee understands him but says they have nowhere to go
Tensions among refugees and illegal immigrants are rising, as the recent violent clash between groups at Piraeus port and other hotspots have shown. A video by Ruptly TV showing a Greek farmer ploughing through his lands where refugees have set up tents at the impromptu Idomeni camp on the borders of Greece and FYROM, has gone viral with 200,000 views in just two days. Lazarus Oulis, owner of the agricultural lands where hundreds of refugees and illegal migrants are squatting said ‘blood was shed for these lands to be freed in 1821′. He used his tractor to plough between the tents but also destroyed some of them. One of the refugees told the cameras that the farmer was right, adding however that they had no place to go. ‘This is a big problem for us also’, said refugee Reshal Hambo.
